TUCSON -Â Arizona will host its annual Red-Blue match this Saturday in Richard Jefferson Gymnasium, head coach
Dave Rubio announced on Tuesday.
The scrimmage will begin at 2:30 in the Wildcats' practice gym. Admission will be free and will be standing-room only around the court.
This will mark the first time fans are able to see the 2016 Wildcats, one week before the team begins play in the Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii to open the season.
Arizona returns five starters from its 2015 squad that finished 19-14 and went to the program's third straight NCAA Tournament. Seniors
Penina Snuka,
Laura Larson and
Kalei Mau highlight the core group of upperclassmen while the coaching staff welcomes in the 10th best recruiting class in the nation to complement.
Saturday's scrimmage will wrap up two weeks of two-a-days for the team before heading into game-week preparation.
After opening the season in Hawaii Aug. 26-28, Arizona will open its home schedule Sept. 2-3 with the Wildcat Classic at McKale Center. Arizona's full schedule can be found
