TUCSON - Arizona volleyball held its annual Red-Blue scrimmage on Saturday in Richard Jefferson Gymnasium in front of a couple hundred fans who took advantage of their first opportunity to see the 2016 Wildcats.
Team Red and Team Blue tied at 2 sets apiece in the four-set scrimmage (25-21, 22-25, 24-26, 25-22).
Players switched teams between sets as head coach
Dave Rubio used the intrasquad scrimmage to get looks at various lineups.
Sophomore outside hitter
Tyler Spriggs led the way with 14 kills for the Wildcats. Spriggs also led the team with a .375 hitting percentage. Last season, Spriggs notched 14 double-digit kill matches, the most by a freshman since 2011.
Spriggs' classmate
Kendra Dahlke was also impressive in the scimmage. The sophomore had 11 blocks, five digs and three blocks.
Redshirt junior
