Arizona Picked to Finish Fifth in the Pac-12

TUCSON, Ariz. – The 20th-ranked Arizona women's soccer team was picked to finish fifth in the Pac-12 by the head coaches, as released by the conference on Tuesday. The Wildcats received 70 points in this year's preseason poll.

The coaches tabbed the fifth-ranked Stanford Cardinal as the favorites to win the conference this year with 116 points. No. 11 USC received the second-most points with 112, 18th-ranked California was tabbed third with 96 points and UCLA was picked to finish fourth after receiving 94 points.

Arizona is coming off one of the best seasons in school history after advancing to the Round of 16 in the 2015 NCAA Tournament with a record of 14-6-2. Head coach Tony Amato and the Wildcats are now gearing up for the 2016 season, which gets going with an exhibition match against Northern Arizona on Friday, Aug. 12 at Mulcahy Stadium at 7 p.m. MST.
