TUCSON, Arizona -- Arizona beach volleyball placed a pair of incoming freshmen on the AVCA High School Beach All-American teams, the association announced on Monday. Brooke Burling was named first-team All-America, while Natalie Anselmo was selected as honorable mention.

Burling is a full-time defender who attended Waubonsie High School in Naperville, Ill. Burling served as co-captain and was team MVP in her senior year of high school. She is one of six players to be named first-team nationally.

Anselmo plays as a full-time defender and is from Thousand Oaks, Calif. She attended high school at Westlake and plans to pursue business or political science at the UA.

Burling and Anselmo are part of an incoming recruiting class of five players joining ten returners coming off a berth into the first-ever NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships. Arizona closed out the season ranked No. 6 ranked with a record of 20-7 and with head coach Steve Walker being named Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
