2017 Football Schedule Announced

The Wildcats will host six home games, with Family Weekend set for Oct. 14 and the Homecoming game on Oct. 28.

TUCSON, Ariz. – The 2017 Arizona football scheduled was announced Wednesday by the Pac-12 Conference, which finalized schedules for all league members this month. The Wildcats host six home games at Arizona Stadium, beginning with the season opener against Northern Arizona on Sept. 2.

Arizona opens with four-consecutive weeks of action that presents three home games. Following the opener against the Lumberjacks, the Wildcats host Houston on Sept. 9. The non-conference slate concludes a week later at UTEP on Sept. 16 in El Paso, Texas.

Conference play will begin in Tucson on Friday, Sept. 22, against Utah for the only non-Saturday contest of the regular season. Thereafter, the Wildcats close out September with their one bye week of the season.

The October slate sees a balanced mix of road and home games. Arizona travels to Colorado on Oct. 7 and returns home for Family Weekend against UCLA on Oct. 14. A trip to California follows on Oct. 28, before the Wildcats host their annual homecoming game against Washington State on Oct. 28.

When the calendar flips to November, Arizona will play three of its final four games away from home, beginning with a road clash at USC on Nov. 4. Senior day at Arizona Stadium will be Nov. 11 against Oregon State, while the schedule wraps up with a trip to Oregon Nov. 18 and the Territorial Cup at Arizona State on Nov. 25.

The Pac-12 Championship game will again be played in Santa Clara, Calif., with the date of the game to be determined at a later date (Dec. 1 or 2).

Game times and television selections are still to be determined for all contests. The Pac-12 Conference and its television partners are expected to have early-season selections and non-Saturday games announced by early summer. Those contests not announced with the early selections will be announced during the season on a 12 or 6-day basis prior to game dates.

Arizona has a pair of spring events planned for fans, beginning with the Signing Day Celebration in the Sands Club of the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1. More details of this event, including ticket information, is available here.

The Wildcats will begin spring practices a couple weeks later with their first official workout slated for Saturday, Feb. 18. Fans will then be invited to an open spring practice on Thursday, March 2, at 6 p.m. Additional details of this open event will be announced in the coming weeks.
