ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Arizona Wildcats (16-5) saw their six-game win streak end on Wednesday night as they dropped a 12-7 decision to the New Mexico Lobos (9-12) at Santa Ana Star Field.
First baseman
Noah Turley hit his fifth home run of the season in the third inning, a two-run shot that at the time extended Arizona's early lead to 5-2. Turley finished the night going 2-for-5 with a pair of extra-base hits.
Third baseman
Garen Caulfield picked up three hits, making him one of five Wildcats who notched multiple hits. Eight of Arizona's nine members of the starting lineup logged a hit, while all nine reached base.
Starting pitcher
Chandler Murphy, working his way back from an injury, went one inning and allowed a single unearned run on one hit. He did not factor into the decision.
