Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day at the UA

The University of Arizona Athletics Department is proud to present Hispanic Heritage Day at the University of Arizona. Honorary Captain and Head Baseball Coach Andy Lopez invites you to come celebrate on October 27, 2012 during the Arizona vs. USC football game.

Mariachi Arizona de University of Arizona and other local Folklorico groups will
perform with the Pride of Arizona during half-time. In addition the art contest winners
will be recognized at halftime and their art work will be displayed on the video board.
 

Art Contest:
KVOA has teamed up with The University of Arizona, to celebrate
Hispanic Heritage Day. Students are asked to illustrate what the Hispanic/Latino culture
means to them by participating in our Hispanic Heritage Day Art Contest. There are four
categories for grades: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 and a winner will be chosen from each.
You must enter original artwork, and any medium may be used except photos. All entries
must be 11" X 14".

The contest theme is: When you hear the phrase "Hispanic Culture," what does it
mean to you?
