On Thursday, strictly high school compeition occurs, beginnning at 3 p.m. MST. On Friday, the collegiate portion of the meet starts at 3 p.m. and the high school portion starts at 10 a.m. On Saturday, both college and high school will begin at 10 a.m.
The No. 14 men's and No. 11 women's track and field teams will begin competition on Friday at 12 p.m. PST and at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
BEFORE ARIZONA: He attended Lane Community College in Eugene, Ore. for one year and clocked season-best times of 10.79 in the 100-meter dash and 21.78 in the 200-meter dash ... He earned NJCAA All-America accolades in the 100 meters, 200 meters and the 4x100-meter relay team ... He was the NWAACC Champion in the 100 meters.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Sunset High School, Helms was named team captain and team MVP his senior year ... He earned first-team all-conference, all-district and all-state accolades his senior year ...
