The University of Arizona men's and No. 7 women's track and field program will host the 2013 Tucson Elite Classic on Thursday and Saturday at Roy P. Drachman Stadium.
Sophomore Baillie Gibson advanced to the final of the discus throw and former Wildcat LaTisha Holden advanced to the semifinal of the 100-meter hurdles.
The men's and women's track and field program had 18 student-athletes earn Pac-12 All-Academic distinctions.
2011: Set numerous personal records in the hammer throw and went on to mark the second-best throw in school history with a toss of 195-8 at the Tucson Elite Throwers Classic ... Earned all-conference honors outdoors with a throw of 187-0 to take home fifth at the Pac-10 Championships ... Narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA finals, as her throw of 189-11 was good for 13th-place at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships but only 12 were advanced to the finals ... Set a new career best in the indoor weight throw at the MPSF Championships with a mark of 56-9 to finish fifth.
2010: Won the hammer throw at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual meet with a then-career-best throw of 180-2, the seventh-best mark in Arizona history ... Earned all-conference honors with her sixth-place finish at the Pac-10 Outdoor Championships with a throw of 172-5 ... Advanced to the first round of the NCAA Championships.
2009: After coming to the school as sprinter, Bush made the transition to the throws after her redshirt season ... As a freshman, had a season-best throw of 164-11 ... Finished 14th in the hammer throw at the Pac-10 Championships.
2008: Redshirted the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School ... Was the varsity team captain and won the Coaches' Award two years in a row.
