After a rain-delayed second day of competition at the NCAA Championships West Preliminary Round, Arizona had five student-athletes advance to finals of the NCAA Championships.
The University of Arizona Wildcat men's and No. 7 women's track and field teams both have athletes competing in the 2013 NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas.
Brigetta Barrett set the collegiate record in the women's high jump and won her third-straight conference title.

2012: Indoors, ran in the 3,000-meter race twice as a freshman ... She posted a time of 10:06.09 in the 3K at the Husky Classic ... At the MPSF Championships, Formaz clocked a time of 10:13.73 in the 3K ... Outdoors, Formaz earned All-Pac-12 accolades in the 3,000-meter steeplechase ... In the steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays, Formaz clocked a time of 10:38.83, good for eighth place ... Formaz took second at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual Meet, clocking a time of 10:45.33, good for second place ... At the Pac-12 Championships, Formaz scored for the Wildcats, clocking a personal-best time of 10:25.84 and taking eighth place in the event ... Formaz qualified for the preliminary round of the NCAA Championships, finishing in 30th place with a time 10:47.56.
2011 (XC): Ran in two meets as a freshman ... She took third place at the Grand Canyon Invitational, posting a time of 18:29.6 in the 5,000-meter race ... She posted a time of 22:01 in the 6,000-meter race at the Pac-12 Championships.
