T&F Set for NCAA Championships Preliminary Round

On Friday, the field events are set to start at 11 a.m. and the running events will begin at 5 p.m. On Saturday, the field events will commence at 11 a.m. and the running events will kick off at 6 p.m.

Student-Athletes Celebrated at C.A.T.S. Banquet

Cory Chitwood (men's swimming and diving) was named the Male Senior Student-Athlete of the Year while Alyssa Anderson (women's swimming and diving) and Katie Matusik (gymnastics) were named the co-Female Senior Student-Athletes of the Year.

2011: In her only event of the indoor season, Henson finished fourth at the Razorback Invitational, running the 3,000 meters in 10:06.75 ... During the outdoor season, she did not compete.

2010 (XC): To open the season, Henson finished 10th at the Dave Murray Invitational, running three miles in 18:00.05 ... She took second place at the Desert Twilight Cross Country Festival, running 18:03.9 in the three-mile race.

2010: In her only event of the indoor season, Henson ran at the Washington Invitational, posting a time of 10:12.81 in the 3,000-meter run ... She redshirted the outdoor season.

2009 (XC): Henson placed eighth at the Dave Murray Invitational, running 17:21.0 ... At the Notre Dame Invitational, Henson had a time of 17:43 in the 5K ... Competing at the Pre-Nationals, she clocked a time of 21:41.9 in the 6,000-meter race ... At Pac-10 Championships, Henson finished 30th with a 6K time of 20:56.33 ... At NCAA Championships, she ran 6,000 meters in 22:06.

2009: Henson competed consistently in the 5,000 meters for the Wildcats where she logged a season best of 17:05.88 at the Pac-10 Championships, finishing 13th.

2008 (XC): At the Pac-10 Championships, Henson obliterated her previous personal best by shaving 42 seconds on her way to a 46th-place finish in 21:30.73 ... UA assistant coach Erin Dawson said after the meet that had it not been for Henson, they would not have had nearly as good of a race ... At the George Kyte Classic, Henson finished seventh in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 19:05.3 ... She finished 11th at the Dave Murray Invitational, running 4,000 meters in 14:25.62 ... She finished 95th at the Notre Dame Invitational, running the 5K race in 18:01 ... At 2008 Pre-Nationals, Henson ran 6,000 meters in 22:12.6.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named the 2007 Arizona Daily Star Cross Country Runner of the Year ... Won the 2007 Arizona State Cross Country 4A-II Championship ... Named Fox-11 Game Time Athlete of the Week in November, 2007 ... Also earned a varsity letter in soccer.
