The 14th-ranked women won the 5,000-meter race and the men took second in the 8,000-meter race.

Cross Country Set For Grand Canyon Invitational

The women's 5,000-meter race will start at 8 a.m. and the men will run 8,000 meters at 8:45 a.m.

2011: Redshirted the indoor season ... During the outdoor season, Rajs clocked a personal best in the 800 meters (1:55.95) at the dual meet with Arizona State and Northern Arizona.

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Foothill High School, Rajs was the team captain and MVP his senior year ... He holds the school record in the 400 meters.

PERSONAL: He is the son of Ralph and Elizabeth Rajs ... Has a sister, Hannah ... His mother played tennis at Cal State Northridge ... Majoring in political science and plans to attend law school.
