The Arizona freshman won the men's 8K while the women's squad finished fifth in the team race. Both Wildcat squads scored points in the State Farm Territorial Cup race by beating ASU.
The women's 5,000-meter race will start at 8 a.m. and the men will run 8,000 meters at 8:45 a.m.
2011: Indoors, Ramirez competed at the MPSF Championships in both the 3K and 5K, running 8:20.16 and 14:31.51, respectively ... Outdoors, he set a personal best at Mt. SAC relays in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:33.89 ... He finished sixth at the dual meet between Arizona State and Northern Arizona in the 3,000 meters, running 8:48.62.
2010 (XC): Ramirez opened the season with a time of 28:28.5 at the George Kyte Classic, finishing in 28th place for the 8,000-meter race ... Finished 15th at the Dave Murray Invitational, running 4.25 miles in 22:01.73 ... At the Desert Twilight Cross Country Festival, Ramirez finished eighth, running three miles 15:25.2 ... Clocked an 8K time of 26:04.3 at the Pre-Nationals ... At Pac-10 Championships; Ramirez ran 8,000 meters in 25:04.87.
2010: Redshirted the season.
2009 (XC): At the George Kyte Classic, he finished in 17th place with an 8K time of 26:42.3 ... He finished in 29th place at the Dave Murray Invitational, running 4.25 miles in 22:39.00 ... He ran at the Notre Dame Cross Country Invitational with a time of 25:15 in the 8,000-meter race ... At the Pre-Nationals, he had an 8K time of 25:57.0 ... Competing at the Pac-10 Championships, Ramirez ran 8,000 meters in 24:52.53.
