2012: Indoors, Freeman set a personal-best mark of 52-3.75 in the shot put at the Razorback Invitational, good for fourth place ... At the NAU Open, Freeman had a toss of 50-1.75, good for a fifth-place finish ... She earned a fifth-place finish at the MPSF Championships, posting a mark of 49-4.25 ... Freeman also competed in the weight throw during the indoor season, setting a personal-best mark of 59-8.5 at the MPSF Championships, good for fourth place ... At the Boise State Team Challenge, Freeman earned a third-place finish with a toss of 58-8.75 ... 2011: Returned from her redshirt season in a big way, advancing to the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in three events ... Set a new career best at the Pac-10 Championships in the discus throw with a toss of 177-5 to finish second ... Also had set a career-best throw in the hammer with a mark of 185-6 at the Mt. SAC Relays ... Her discus and hammer throw marks both rank seventh all-time in UA history ... Also earned all-conference honors in the shot put with a season-best throw of 50-6 to finish fifth overall.
2010: Competed indoors for Arizona and redshirted the outdoor season ... Finished fifth in the shot put at the MPSF Championships to earn all-conference honors and help the Wildcats clinch four of the top-five spots.
2009: Earned all-region honors outdoors in the discus with her sixth-place finish at the NCAA West Regional Championships, finishing just out of an automatic berth at the NCAA Championships ... Also earned all-conference honors in the event ... Had a season-best throw of 168-8 at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual, finishing second ... Won the Mesa Invitational shot put with a career best and regional-qualifying throw of 51-4.5 ... Finished fifth in the shot put at the indoor conference meet with a toss of 47-5.75.
HIGH SCHOOL: One of the most impressive throwers in Iowa State High School history ... In 2008, Freeman wrapped up her senior year winning the state championship in the discus with a state-record throw of 156-4 and earned a second-place finish in the shot put at 44-8.75 ... Also won the state discus title in 2006 ... Went undefeated her senior season and was only the second girl in Iowa state history to win the Drake Relays discus event three times ... Also a three-time All-American at the Nike Outdoor Nationals ... Beat her own state record in her final meet as a senior, throwing for 162-10 in the Midwest Senior Spotlight Meet ...
