HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Long Beach Poly, Hicks was the team captain her senior year and was named the team's MVP her junior and senior year ... She earned All-City honors her junior and senior year ... Hicks' personal-best time of 13.22 in the 100-meter hurdles was the best time in the country during the 2012 season ... ... She had no experience in the hurdles prior to her junior year of high school ... As a member of the 4x100-meter relay team, Hicks and her teammates won the relay at the Penn Relays the 2011 and 2012 season.
