T&F Men Move Up To No. 10 In Latest Poll
The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association released the week two national poll on Tuesday.

TUCSON - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) released the week two national poll on Tuesday. The University of Arizona men's track and field team is ranked No. 10 while the women's team is No. 13.
Although the men's team finished in 11th place at the Razorback Invitational, junior Lawi Lalang set the top time in the world in the 3,000-meter race at 7:42.79 and senior Edgar Rivera-Morales's high jump clearance of 7-5 (2.23m) is tied for the No. 6 collegiate mark. They moved up three places in the poll to reach the No. 13 spot.
The men are joined by four other Pac-12 schools in the national poll. Oregon moved up one spot to fourth, Arizona State fell one spot to fifth, Stanford dropped two places to 20th and UCLA slid three spots to 23rd.
The UA women earned a sixth-place finish at the Razorback Invitational. Senior Brigetta Barrett posted the top mark in the country for the women's high jump. She cleared 6-3.25 (1.91m) in her season debut. Senior Georganne Moline clocked the No. 5 collegiate time in the country thus far, posting a school-record time of 53.27 in the 400 meters. Despite that, the women slid one spot in this week's poll and now sit at No. 13.
The women are accompanied by five other Pac-12 schools in the national poll. Oregon is still No. 3, Washington stayed at No. 8, California fell one spot to No. 11, Stanford dropped two spots to No. 16 and Arizona State moved up 11 spots to No. 20.
The men's and women's squad will send a small contingent to the New Mexico Classic this weekend in Albuquerque, N.M.
