2012 Tucson Elite Classic SATURDAY Schedule FINAL

TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat No. 15 men's and No. 8 women's track and fields will host the Tucson Elite Classic on May 17 and May 19 at Roy P. Drachman Stadium. Current student-athletes will compete in the meet as well as some of the best professional throwers and jumpers in the world. On Thursday, the meet will begin at 2 p.m. MST and competition will start on Saturday at 1 p.m.

For the UA men, junior Tyler Johnson will throw the hammer on Thursday and Saturday at 5:45 p.m. Sophomore Bozidar Antunovic will compete in the shot put on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. In the high jump, juniors Nick Ross and Edgar Rivera-Morales will compete on Saturday at 4 p.m. Freshman Jovon Cunningham will compete in the long jump on Saturday at 4 p.m. UA alumni Rob Girewill compete in the shot put at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.

On the women's side, senior Taylor Bush will throw the hammer on Thursday and Saturday at 2 p.m. Juniors Alyssa Hasslen and Taylor Freeman will throw the discus on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Also on Saturday, junior Brigetta Barrett will compete in the high jump at 6 p.m. Junior Asia Easley will throw the javelin at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Former NCAA Champion at Arizona; Elizabeth Patterson will also compete in the high jump at 69 p.m. Volunteer assistant coach Jill Camarena-Williams will compete in the shot put on Thursday at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 6 p.m.
