XC Women Climb To No. 4 In National Poll

TUCSON - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) released the week six regional and national polls this week. The women's cross country team sits at No. 4 in the national poll.
After earning a runner-up finish at the Pac-12 Championships, the women's team moved up one spot in the regional poll to No. 2 and one spot to No. 4 in the national poll. The UA women are joined by five Pac-12 schools in the national poll. Oregon is No. 3, Stanford sits at No. 5, Washington holds the No. 7 spot, Colorado is No. 24 and UCLA is No. 29.
In the west region, Arizona is accompanied by six Pac-12 schools. Oregon climbed one spot to first, Stanford fell two spots and now sits in third, Washington stayed at fourth, UCLA fell one spot to sixth, California climbed five spots to 10th and Arizona State dropped one spot to 11th. In the mountain region, Colorado sits at No. 3 and Utah sits at No. 7.
On the men's side, five Pac-12 schools are in the national poll. Colorado is second, Stanford is third, Oregon dropped three spots to 11th, Arizona State moved into the poll at 25th and UCLA fell 12 spots to 27th.
In the west region, Arizona moved up one spot to No. 7. They are joined by seven Pac-12 teams in the regional poll. Stanford is No. 1, Oregon is No. 3, Arizona State is No. 4, UCLA sits at No. 5, Washington holds the No. 6 spot, Washington State sits at No. 9 and California is No. 12.
The Wildcats will return to action for the NCAA West Regionals on November 9th in Seattle, Wash.
