Pac-12 Cross Country Awards Announced

 TUCSON -  The University of Arizona men's and women's cross country teams were well represented on the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, All-Conference teams and individual honors that were released on Tuesday by the conference office.

On the men's side, junior Rory McLeod and sophomore Patrick Zacharias both earned Pac-12 first-team All-Academic accolades. Freshman Lawi Lalang was a first-team all-conference selection, as well as the Pac-12 Runner of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Lalang also earned the USTFCCCA National Male Athlete of the Year and the USTFCCCA Male West Regional Athlete of the Year.

On the women's side, senior Hanna Henson and sophomore Erin Menefee were both selected to the Pac-12 first-team All-Academic team. Sophomore Elvin Kibet was a member of the second-team All-Academic team. Junior Jen Bergman, junior Kat Howard and sophomore Melanie McGrath earned honorable mention all-academic accolades. Bergman was also a first-team all-conference selection and Kibet was a second-team all-conference honoree.
