TUCSON - With the generosity of 11,220 Wildcat Club members in support of Arizona's 19-sport intercollegiate athletics programs , the Arizona Athletics Department has set a new record in Wildcat Club memberships this past fiscal year.

With a goal of reaching 12,000 Wildcat Club members by 2013, the Athletics Department reached a milestone of 11,220 Wildcat Club members - an increase of 84% from three years ago.

"This year's record-breaking numbers are a credit to our generous and loyal fan base" said Arizona Athletics Director Greg Byrne. "The Wildcat Movement continues to spread across our state and the country and with the momentum from this year's academic and athletic successes, we are positioned well for 2012-13. Arizona is Wildcat Country and our fans continue to respond."

A large number of 2012 contributions were made online through the "Wildcat Movement" campaign (www.WildcatMovement.com), a campaign to support Arizona student-athlete scholarships and enhance their experience while on campus.
