Women's Sports Legacy Tiles
Celebrating the Heritage of Women's Athletics
As part of the Women's Sports Legacy Celebration, the Athletics Department has created a special area within Legacy Lane for letterwomen to create a lifetime legacy. Legacy Lane opened in September 2002 as part of the Eddie Lynch Athletics Pavilion. It is located just north of the McKale Center and today has more than 500 brick pavers memorializing athletic accomplishments, alumni letterwinners, and friends and fans of the athletics department. It is a historic walkway leading up to McKale Center and the home of the Jim Click Hall of Champions.
We are very excited to create a special section called "Women's Sports Legacy." The tiles in this section may be purchased by letterwomen or their families to highlight accomplishments of women athletes, express their thanks, provide an inspirational quote for future student-athletes or remember a friend or an outstanding moment. Or you could simply honor your team or yourself and your time here as a student-athlete.
The monies raised from this program will help fund the Wildcat Scholarship Fund, specifically women's athletic scholarships. Your purchase is 100% tax-deductible and will benefit so many young women.
