On behalf of the A-Club and Arizona Athletics we want to wish our seven former football lettermen the best as they continue their run to the 2012 Super Bowl.

‎Former Wildcats in post season playoffs:

Broncos: Spencer Larson, FB 02, 05-07  Adam Grant, OL 08-10

Texans: Brooks Reed, LB 07-10  Earl Mitchell, DT 07-09

Patriots: Rob Gronkowski, TE 07-08

49ers: Ricky Elmore, LB 07-10

Giants: Tom Quinn, 88-90

Round two of playoffs begins with the San Francisco 49ers who will be facing the Saints this Sat. 1/14, 4:30 pm EST.  This will be Ricky Elmore's first NFL postseason game as a practice squad member for the 49ers.  Elmore has not seen the field since his preseason run playing for Green Bay in his last game against Kansas City Chiefs.

Later that evening the Denver Broncos will have their shot against Newe England Sat. 1/14 8pm EST. This will be the second time this year former teammates Rob Gronkowski, Spencer Larson and Adam Grant will be on opposite sides of the battlefield competing for their chance at their first super bowl appearance. Spencer is recovering from a late season ending knee injury that will keep him off the field in post season.

Brooks Reed, Earl Mitchell and the Texans will also be fighting for their first shot at Division Championship along with their first Super Bowl appearance. The Texans will be heading to Baltimore to face the Ravens on their home turf this Sun. 1/15 1pm EST.

Tom Quinn and the Giants will take on the 16-1 Green Bay Packers Sun. 1/15 4:30pm EST.  Quinn is in his 6th season with the Giants, his 5th year as the Special Teams Coordinator.  This will be Quinn's second Super Bowl appearance since 2008 when the Giants defeated the New England Patriots 17-14.

Three of our seven letterwinners are in their first year playing professionally; while the others have a combined 16 years of NFL experience.

Granted these athletes are competing against one another for the most prestigious title in the NFL they all have one thing in common; they are all Arizona Letterwinners and Wildcats at heart. We congratulate our football alumns and appreciate all their support to Arizona Athletics. We will continue our support as they carry on into post season..
