The Arizona baseball team won its fifth Pac-12 road series of the season, as it clinched the series against USC with a 6-1 victory on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Weekend Sweep Leads To Awards Sweep

The 14th-ranked Arizona baseball team swept the Pac-12 weekly awards on Monday, with Kurt Heyer being named Pitcher of the Week and Johnny Field being tabbed the Player of the Week.

Arizona 2011

Named to the 2011 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American team ... Started 46 games and played in 52 of team's 60 games as a true freshman ... Started 34 games in left field and 12 as the designated hitter ... Made three starts but did not collect a base hit at the College Station Regional (6/3-8). Scored two runs and had one RBI in the five games ... Collected a base hit and two runs scored in two starts against Washington in final regular season series (5/27-28) ... Hitless in three at bats against Stanford (5/20) ... Combined to hit 5-for-14 with five RBI and a run scored and a triple in three game series at Washington State (5/14-16) ... Scored a run in each of three games against Alcorn State series (5/6-8) ...
