TUCSON , Ariz. ¨C?University of Arizona men¡¯s basketball player Laval Lucas-Perry announced Monday that he will transfer to another school.? He has not yet made a decision on which school he will attend.

Lucas-Perry, a 6-foot-3, 189-pound freshman guard from Grand Blanc, Mich., averaged 4.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game in five games (no starts) this season.? He averaged 9.8 minutes per game.

His most productive appearance came on Nov. 19 vs. UMKC when he tallied nine points, five rebounds and two assists in an 81-62 win.? Lucas-Perry saw four minutes of action in Saturday¡¯s win over Illinois, hitting his only field goal attempt in the first half.

¡°We wish Laval the best of luck,¡± said Arizona interim head coach Kevin O¡¯Neill.? ¡°He is a great kid.? Unfortunately, he felt that opportunities would be better for him elsewhere.¡±
