Billy Kirelawich joined the staff as an assistant working with the operations staff shortly after his father, Bill, was hired by Rich Rodriguez in January 2012. He was promoted to assistant director of operations in December 2012. He assists in day-to-day planning and helps in recruiting logistics.
He received his bachelor's degree in sports management from West Virginia University in 2008, and a master's in the same discipline in 2010.
In 2010, he worked in the Pittsburgh Pirates' Florida operations in Bradenton, Fla., a frequent family destination, and in 2011, he was an associate in Baltimore., Md., at Aerotek, a recruiting and staffing firm focused primarily in the aerospace and defense industry.
Born in Wheeling, W. Va., he played linebacker at University High School in Morgantown, W. Va. His wife, Madeline, is an occupational therapist in Tucson.
