TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -Nick Foles threw two touchdown passes to Juron Criner, and Arizona overcame five turnovers to defeat UCLA 27-13 on Saturday and keep pace in the Pac-10 race.

Nic Grigsby and Nick Booth each ran for a touchdown for the Wildcats (5-2, 3-1 Pac-10), who remain tied for second place.

Foles had a hand in all of five of Arizona's turnovers. The Pac-10's leading passer threw three interceptions, had a fumble returned for a touchdown and botched a handoff that led to a fumble.

UCLA's defense did everything it could to keep the Bruins (3-4, 0-4) afloat. All 13 UCLA points resulted from turnovers.

UCLA free safety Rahim Moore, the national interception co-leader, picked off his sixth and seventh passes of the season, and strong safety Tony Dye returned a fumble 28 yards for a score.

Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel tried three quarterbacks - starter Kevin Prince, Kevin Craft and Richard Brehaut.

Arizona Head Coach Mike Stoops Quotes

"Tonight was another very good win. All the turnovers we had tonight were troublesome, but I'm glad that we were able to pull through this so convincingly.

Nick (Foles) was not at his best tonight. I don't think he was himself tonight. I'm not making excuses for him, and he isn't either, but it seems like he's probably a little under the weather tonight. Despite all the good, he made quite a few careless choices, and there is definitely some room for him to improve.

Defense did a very good job tonight of keeping UCLA out of the end zone, and it's great to see them play so convincingly. Mark (Stoops) did a great job game planning this week, and the kids did a great job executing it.

This bye week comes at a very good time. We definitely are going to need this week to heal up. I want to spend this week getting our guys back up to full strength for the back end of our schedule. We are in a very good position right now. The kids feel good, and I am pleased with their overall effort.

I see that we are becoming more mature, and our depth is continuing to grow. With our injuries, people are forced to step up, and take a bigger role, which helps them mature quicker.

From here on out, we're going to take it one game at a time. There's no question that we need to take advantage of the position we are in right now, and I think we will do that coming into our next game against Washington State.
