All-Star Games Await Wildcats

TUCSON - Several recently graduated members of the University of Arizona football team will be playing in a number of all-star games in the coming weeks.

On Fri., Jan. 11, defensive lineman Dominique Austin, center Kyle Quinn and fullback/defensive lineman Taimi Tutogi will play in the Casino del Sol All-Star Game at Kino Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. MT and the game will air nationally on the ESPN family of networks. All three Wildcats will play on the west team for former Arizona head coach Dick Tomey.

On Sat., Jan. 19, receiver Dan Buckner and quarterback Matt Scott will play in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fl. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. MT and the game will air on NFL Network. Former collegiate and NFL coach Leeman Bennett will lead the West team, including Buckner and Scott.

Also on Sat., Jan. 19, Quinn and Tutogi will play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. MT and the game will air on ESPN2. Rosters have yet to be determined with Dick Vermeil serving as head coach of the National team and Herm Edwards serving as head coach of the American team.
