UA Football Visits Children’s Hospital

UA football started off their weekend with a trip to visit hospitalized youth at Diamond Children’s Medical Center. After the recent completion of spring practice, these student-athletes were excited to get back to the hospital to see some familiar faces. Each fall the team regularly visits the children’s hospital on every Friday before a home football game to brighten the spirits of children who find themselves in the hospital.

The group always looks forward to these trips and decided to schedule visits during their off-season as well. “It’s great being able to give back. We just wanted to go out and try to help the kids out in any way we could. It was a great experience and we all want to go back,” said junior linebacker, Jake Fischer.

These visits are just one of the many projects UA student-athletes participate in throughout the year. Over the course of the past twelve months, student-athletes have spent more than 3,800 hours volunteering in the community.
