TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona Wildcat football team has announced a home-and-home series with the University of Hawaii during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. The teams will play Aug. 31, 2019, in Honolulu and Sept. 5, 2020, in Tucson.

UA and UH have met four times with the Wildcats winning each contest, most recently in 1998 when former Wildcat head coach Dick Tomey, who also spent time at the helm of the Warrior program, led 24th-ranked Arizona to a 27-6 victory at Aloha Stadium.

"We are pleased to announce this series with the University of Hawaii. It will give our fans a great opportunity to follow our football team to Hawaii and it will be another attractive game at Arizona Stadium," said Greg Byrne, UA athletics director.

The series began in 1951 in Honolulu (UA, 32-21) and continued the following year in Tucson (UA, 57-7). The teams didn't play again until 1977 (UA, 17-10) at Aloha Stadium, Tomey's first season as UH head coach.

Arizona football will open the 2012 season on September 1, facing Toledo at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU. Tickets are available at the McKale Center Ticket office, by visiting ArizonaWildcats.com or by calling 520-621-2287 or 1-800-452-CATS.
