The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Utah

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona football team completed practice at Kindall Field/Sancet Stadium on Tuesday evening in preparation for Saturday’s contest at Utah. Below is a brief transcript of head coach Rich Rodriguez’s comments following practice.
On Utah quarterback Travis Wilson:
“I think he is their future. He is a big, athletic guy that has a good arm and can run. I think they see him as a guy that can be the face of their offense for the next three years.”
On the importance of time of possession:
“It wasn’t a big deal last Saturday even though it seemed like they (Colorado) had the ball forever. I think more important for us is the number of possessions. I think what Coach Whittingham is talking about is if they have a lot of time of possession then they are going to limit our possessions, but the true time of possession is not a number we really worry about.”
On the play of Jared Tevis since returning from injury:
“I think he is back all the way. I think the first week he was hurting a little bit but every week that goes by I think he gets healthier and healthier. So I think he is even better this week. He was still bothered by it that first week but he is such a tough guy. He was better last week and he should be even better this week.”
On the must-haves of going on the road:
“I think the biggest thing is being able to execute what you do. I don’t think you can veer and change your game plan other than you have to prepare for crowd noise. I think you just have to do what you do and have a lot of resiliency because you know you are going to have adversity. We should be the masters of adversity because of what we’ve been going through the last nine months. In two games we have not handled it well and in one game I think we handled it well but just didn’t finish.”
The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 17 when they play at Utah. The 8:00 p.m. kickoff will be televised live on ESPNU.
