ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Arizona men's golf team scored a 897 (+33) to finish eighth in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate.

The Wildcats were led by Jonathan Khan who used a final-round 73 (+1) to jump into a tie for 16th and record his first top-20 finish of the season. Eric Oja, who started the day tied for sixth, fell into a tie for 26th with an 80 (+8) Saturday.

San Diego State took home a one-stroke victory in a very tight four-team race. The top four teams were separated by only four shots. The Aztecs won the tournament with a tournament total of 874 (+10). North Texas, day one leader, finished eleven-over. Host New Mexico finished third at 12-over. New Mexico State staged a furious comeback, starting the day 19-strokes behind the leader, only to finish four-strokes out of first. The Aggies were the only team under-par in the final round at five-under.

New Mexico State's Joon Heui Lee, North Texas' Carlos Ortiz and Pepperdine's Andrew Putnam tied for first individually at four-under.

Up Next: Oct. 23-25, Arizona will compete in the Isleworth Collegiate.
