Oja Leads Arizona at the Pac-12 Preview

Arizona sits in 10th place at the Pac-12 Preview

TUCSON, Ariz. –University of Arizona’s men’s golf team competed in the Pac-12 Preview on Monday. The competition is taking place at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, OR. Due to darkness, the second round could not be completed.

At the completion of the first round, the Wildcats sat in a tie for 11th place with a score of 297 (+9). Currently, Arizona sits in 10th place and will continue the second round tomorrow. The Wildcats are currently -3 for the second round, and +6 for the tournament. Arizona sits 24 shots behind California, who sits atop the leader board.

Arizona was lead by junior Erik Oja, who carded a first round score of 71 (-1). Oja is currently -1 for the second round, with three holes remaining. Oja currently sits in a tie for 16th place overall at -2, 7 shots behind Washington’s Tyler Salsbury, who is at the top of the leader board.

Trent Redfern had a solid day for the Wildcats. He is currently sitting at +1 for the tournament by carding a 77 (+5) in the first round, and is currently at -4 for the second round with one hole remaining.

Sophomore Alex McMahon started off the day by carding a first round score of 76 (+4). McMahon improved his second round score with a 73 (+1). He currently sits in 40th place with a total score of 149 (+5).

Tucker Wadkins started off the tournament by shooting a first round score of 73 (+1). The sophomore then finished off the day by carding a second round score of 81 (+9). His total score for the first two rounds is 154 (+10).

Dylan Healey started off slowly by carding a first round score of 82 (+10), but came back strong by playing the first 16 holes at +1.
