Round Two Results
TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona men’s golf competed in round two of the Lone Star Invitational at the Hill Country Resort Golf Club in San Antonio, TX.
The Wildcats finished the day in eighth place. On the day, Arizona carded a total score of 300 (+12), giving them a score of 597(+21) for the tournament. Arizona sits 18 shots behind North Texas, who carded a total score of 579 (+3).
The Wildcats were led today by freshman Dylan Healey. He shot a second round score of 72 (E), giving him a total score of 147 (+2). Healey finished with two eagles on the day. He finished the round strong by making an eagle on the 17th hole and making a birdie on the 18th hole. “We stress finishing,” said UA coach Jim Anderson. “Having him finish like that can give us momentum going into round three.” The freshman sits in a tie for 14th place, nine shots behind Rodolfo Cazaubon of North Texas.
Erik Oja fired a second round 73 (+1), which gives him a total score of 146 (+2) for the tournament. The junior had 17 pars for the second round. Oja sits in a tie for 12th place, eight shots off the lead.
Senior Trent Redfern finished the second round with a score of 77 (+5), giving him a total of 150 (+6). Redfern sits in a tie for 34th place.
For the second round, Brenden Redfern carded a score of 77 (+5). He has recorded a 158 (+14) for the tournament. Redfern currently sits in a tie for 66th place.
Sophomore Alex McMahon
shot a second round score of 81 (+9). McMahon sits in a tie for 66th place with a score of 158 (+14).
Tucker Wadkins is competing in the tournament as an individual, and he shot a second round score of 77 (+5), which gives him a total score of 153 (+9). Wadkins sits in a tie for 46th place.
