Arizona Men's Golf to Compete in the San Diego Classic

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona’s men’s golf team will head to San Diego, CA on Mar. 11-12 to compete in the San Diego State Classic, a two-day, fourteen-team event.

San Diego and San Diego State are the host-schools for the tournament, which will be played at San Diego Country Club, a par-72, 7,033-yard course. Thirty-six holes will be played on day one of the tournament with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PST, with the second round following immediately after the first. The final eighteen holes will be played on the second day starting at 8 a.m. PST.

The fourteen-team field is made up of Arizona, Arizona State, CSU San Marcos, Louisville, Missouri, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Point Loma Nazarene, San Diego, San Diego State, TCU, Texas-Arlington, Texas Tech, and Utah.

Arizona’s lineup includes Erik Oja, Trent Redfern, Brenden Redfern, Dylan Healey, Juan Pablo Hernandez, and Alex McMahon.

The last time out, Arizona finished in sixth place as a team in the Fresno State Lexus Classic. Erik Oja led the Wildcats by finishing in a tie for seventh with a score of 210 (-6).
