University of Arizona men's golfer Philip Bagdade was named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars team, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Bagdade, a senior from Eugene, Ore., was one of 146 NCAA Division I student-athletes named to the team. In order to be named to the GCAA All-American Scholars team, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 grade point average and post a stroke average lower than 76.0 and play in 70 percent of the team's competitive rounds during the season. Only juniors and seniors are eligible for consideration.

Bagdade posted a 74.90 scoring average in 30 rounds played and tallied five rounds at par or better. He competed in 10 events in 2011-12 and notched a low of 68 to go with one top-20 finish. He was a first-team Pac-12 all-academic selection in 2010 and 2012 and an honorable mention pick in 2011.

He also was the recipient of the UA Athletic Department's C.A.T.S. (Commitment to an Athlete's Total Success) Life Skills Career Achievement Award for his community service efforts.
