TUCSON, Ariz. - A new era begins Monday for the University of Arizona men's golf team, as new head coach Jim Anderson and the Wildcats open the 2012-13 season at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate in Pullman, Wash.

For the first time since 1978-79 and for just the sixth time in program history (1934-35), Arizona debuts a new head coach in Anderson. UA's first-year leader returns 12 lettermen from last season's club that won one team event and advanced to the NCAA Southwest Regional.

The fourth-annual Itani Quality Homes Collegiate is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 10-11, at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash. Thirty-six holes will be played Monday with 18 following on Tuesday. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. PDT each day.

Palouse Ridge G.C. is a par-72, 7,308-yard facility that will host an NCAA men's golf regional in 2013.

The Wildcats are part of an 11-team field that includes Boise State, the University of British Columbia, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Idaho, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Utah Valley and host Washington State.

Arizona's lineup includes Erik Oja, Juan Pablo Hernandez, Dylan Healey, Benson Liu and Trent Redfern. Additionally, Dylan Kornberg and Ricky Lee will be competing as individuals. Oja, Hernandez and Redfern are veterans who combined to play in 123 rounds last season, while Healey, a freshman from Brentwood, Tenn., is making his collegiate debut and Liu, a junior from Taipei, Taiwan, is making his first appearance with the UA varsity.
