Men's Golf Heads to William H. Tucker Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's golf team is back in action this weekend at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, N.M.
The Wildcats return to action for the first time since Sept. 12, when the squad posted a second-place finish at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate in Pullman, Wash. Freshman Dylan Healey led the way individually, tying for second place.
The 58th-annual William H. Tucker Intercollegiate is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29, at University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque. Thirty-six holes will be played Friday with 18 following on Saturday. Tee times begin at 7:45 a.m. MDT each day.
The UNM Championship Course is a par-72, 7,562-yard facility, and was the facility where Arizona won the 1992 NCAA championship.
The Wildcats are part of a 14-team field that includes BYU, Baylor, Colorado, Minnesota, host New Mexico, New Mexico State, Pepperdine, San Francisco, Texas-San Antonio, UC Irvine, Utah, UTEP and Wyoming.
Arizona's lineup includes Dylan Healey, Trent Redfern, Erik Oja, Juan Pablo Hernandez and Dylan Kornberg. Additionally, Benson Liu, Tucker Wadkins and Alex McMahon will be competing as individuals.
In addition to Healey, Redfern, Oja, and Hernandez each posted top-20 two weeks ago in Pullman. Wadkins and McMahon will make their 2012-13 debuts this weekend.
Arizona is a regular competitor in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, winning the event four times (1987, 1990, 1991, 2004). Wildcats have captured individual medalist honors twice: Eric Meeks in 1987 and Christian Pena in 1990.
