TUCSON, Ariz. - Round one of the World Amateur Team Championship began today in Antalya, Turkey this morning. Arizona's Gabo Ormachea is competing for the Bolivian national team during the tournament this weekend.

Ormachea started off the tournament by shooting a first round score of 78 (+6). He started off strong by carding a 36 (E) on the front nine, but struggled a bit in the back nine with a score of 42 (+6).

As a team, Bolivia shot a 150 (+6) for the first round and they sit in a tie for 43rd on the leaderboard. The teams are represented by three players, and the lowest two scores for the round count towards the total score each day.
