TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona men's golfer Ricky Lee finished in a tie for 60th place Friday at the Patriot All-America Invitational at the Gold Course at the Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

Lee, a freshman from Tucson, Ariz., carded rounds of 76, 77 and 75 to finish the three-round event with a 228 (+15) total and a tie for 60th place. It marked his third appearance of the season.

Alabama's Cory Whitsett won the event by three strokes with a 69-64-66--199 (-14) tally.

Now in its first year, the Patriot All-America Invitational is an invitational featuring 82 top amateur golfers. Each player in the field received a golf bag at the opening ceremony with the name and branch of service of a fallen or disabled military member whom they represented this week. The respective athletic departments of the student-athletes will auction these golf bags with all proceeds designated for the Folds of Honor Foundation.

The event was contested Dec. 28-30 at the Gold Course at the Wigwam, a par-71, 7,430-yard layout.

Arizona opens the spring portion of the schedule, Jan. 30-31, by hosting the Arizona Intercollegiate at Arizona National Golf Course.
