Burckle Third Wildcat to Qualify for Olympics
Arizona swimmer Clark Burckle became the third Ford/Zona athlete to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games Friday night at the Olympic trials in Omaha, Neb.

Student-Athletes Celebrated at C.A.T.S. Banquet
Cory Chitwood (men's swimming and diving) was named the Male Senior Student-Athlete of the Year while Alyssa Anderson (women's swimming and diving) and Katie Matusik (gymnastics) were named the co-Female Senior Student-Athletes of the Year.

Finished 10th in the 200m back semifinals at the Olympic Trials...14-time collegiate All-American...Three
2011-12: Was named Arizona Athletics' Male Senior Athlete of the Year...Named Counsilman Hunsaker Swimmer of the Week on Dec. 7...Named Pac-12 Swimmer of the Month for November...Received Pac-12 All-American honorable mention honors...Became the third Arizona male swimmer to win three or more national titles with his win in the 200 back at the NCAA Championships...Also earned All-American honors in the 800 free relay and 200 back...Recorded the fastest times in the country in the 200 breast and the 200 IM and the second-fastest in the 100 back, all recorded at the Texas Invite.

2008-09: Was granted a medical redshirt due to a shoulder injury...Named to Pac-10 All-Academic First Team.

International: Swam for Team USA at the World University Games in Shenzhen, China...Was a U.S. Junior National Team Member in 2007 and competed on the Youth World Championships Team in 2006.
Why Arizona? I came to the University of Arizona to receive a great education and be on the greatest swim team in the world. The best part is being able to walk on deck every day with some of the best swimmers and coaches in the world.
