2008-09: Recorded times of 54.63 (100 breast), 1:57.94 (200 breast) and 1:48.06 (200 I.M.) as an exhibition swimmer at the Pac-10 Championships in Long Beach his freshman season under stroke coach Greg Rhodenbaugh.
