Bass-Rudd Tennis Center: This weekend's matches will be held on Louisville's home courts at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The tennis center is home to six indoor courts and eight lighted outdoor court with electronic scoreboards.

Arizona Head Coach Tad Berkowitz enters his eighth season as the head coach of the Wildcats. During the 2008-09 season he was named the Pac-10 Men's Tennis Coach of the Year and the Wilson/ITA West Region Coach of the Year. He joined the program in 2004 and has held numerous national and collegiate coaching positions. He was promoted to the head coaching position in the spring of 2005 after serving as hall-of-famer Bill Wright's assistant. Berkowitz was a top collegiate player for the Universities of Kentucky and New Mexico, respectively.

Super Seven: Arizona returns seven players from the 2011-2012 season. Juniors Giacomo Miccini, Kieren Thompson, Mario Urquidi, and Andre Vidaller return as the most experienced members of the team. Sophomores Carlos Bermudez, Robin Chou and Sumeet Shinde also return as key contributors.


 

 

Fresh Four: The Wildcats welcome four new players to the 2013 roster. Freshman Matt Dunn joined the team in the fall along with sophomore transfer Ben Lee. Joining the team at the start of the spring season are freshman Naoki Takeda and junior transfer Fredrik Ask.

Last Time Out: The Cats fell, 6-1, to the No. 10-ranked Oklahoma Sooners on Wednesday. Arizona dropped the doubles points with losses on courts one and two, court three was left unfinished. In singles play, junior Mario Urquidi clinched Arizona's only point of the day in straight sets.

The Rankings: Arizona dropped one slot in the rankings after a loss to TCU. The Cats sit at No. 55. Louisville fell five slots from No. 43 to No. 49 as of March 19. Morehead State is not currently ranked by the ITA.

Saturday's Match Data: The Wildcats (9-5, 0-0 Pac-12) will head to Louisville, Ky. to play the Louisville Cardinals (9-9, 0-0 Big East).

The Series vs. Louisville: This will be the first meeting of the two schools.

Scouting the Cardinals: On Tuesday, Louisville fell 6-1 to No.5-ranked Ohio in Columbus, Ohio. The Cardinals fell on all three doubles courts and claimed only one singles victory on court four.

Sunday's Match Date: The Cats (9-5, 0-0 Pac-12) will face off against the Morehead State Eagles (5-6, 0-0 Ohio Valley) on neutral ground.

The Series vs. Moorhead State: This will be the first meeting of the two schools.

Scouting the Eagles: On Tuesday, the Eagles topped Northern Kentucky, 4-3, in Morehead, Ky. The Eagles claimed the doubles point with wins on all three courts and went on to clinch singles victories on courts three, five and six.
