Cats Open Fall Play at Aggie Invitational

TUCSON - The Arizona Wildcat men's tennis team will send four players to Las Cruces, N.M. to open the fall tournament season at the 2012 Aggie Invitational. This weekend's matches will be hosted by New Mexico State University and will take place at New Mexico State Tennis Center.

"The guys have been working really hard on and off the court," said head coach Tad Berkowitz. "We are all looking forward to starting up our fall tournament schedule."

Representing the Wildcats will be junior Giacomo Miccini, sophomore Sumeet Shinde and Arizona newcomers Ben Lee and Matt Dunn. The Cats will be matched up against players from Abilene Christian, Northern Arizona, Western New Mexico and host New Mexico State University.

The tournament will consist of two singles draws and a doubles draw as well as a consolation draw. Play will begin Friday, Sept. 21 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 23. Each day's competition will begin at 9 am MT.
