Tucson -

The Arizona Wildcat men’s tennis team will send four players to compete in the 2012 Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas, Nev.

Junior Kieren Thompson, sophomores Carlos Bermudez and Ben Lee, and freshman Matt Dunn will be representing the Wildcats at At Feritta Tennis Complex. The Arizona players will be matched up against competitors from Arkansas, Oklahoma State, SMU, NAU, Seminole State College and hosting UNLV.

The tournament will consist of one flight of doubles and two flights of singles along with consolation play in both.

In 2010, the annual event was renamed in honor of long time UNLV coach and Hall of Famer Larry Easley. Easley coached the men’s tennis team from 1993 to 2002 and produced sometimes-spectacular results. In 2005, Easley passed away from illness at the age of 57. 2012
