After joining the UA women's basketball program over the summer, first-year coordinator of basketball operations Katie Brown has the unenviable task ofkeeping up with all the Wildcats' administrative loose ends.

Brown's responsibilities include coordination of all team travels and program events, maintenance of the program master calendar, production of a quarterly booster newsletter and preparation of program expense reports and annual operation budget. She will also supervise the team managers and be the program's liaison with support staff, boosters, season ticket holders and alumni.

During the 2002-03 school year, Brown was the assistant director of football operations at the University of North Carolina. There she planned and administered all home and away team travel preparations and scheduling, and shecoordinatedand raised sponsorship and support forall special events associated with the UNC football program. Brown also spearheaded the development of the UNC Football Lettermen website and online database, as well as maintaining a variety of other databases and program-related mailings.

Prior to her position with the football program, Brown was a member of the event operations staffat UNC during the 2001-02 school year. While earning her master's degree atthe schoolfrom 2001-03, Brown was a teaching assistant for gymnastics, intermediate tennis, jogging and exercise and conditioning classes.

In 2000-01,Brownworked asan associate consultant at Peterson Barrington Consulting in Dallas, Texas. While there, she performed financial and statistical economic data collection and analyses and provided assistance in documentation for forensic accounting and litigation support. She also organized recruiting events and planned office visits for prospective employees.

A graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, Brown earned her bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in finance, in May of 2000. She received her master's degree in exercise and sport science, with a focus on sport administration, from the University of North Carolina in May of 2003.
