01/06/2012 Kama Griffitts Added to Roster During BreakThe University of Arizona Wildcat women's basketball team picked up a new addition during the winter break. 2011-12: Joined the squad in January after transferring from North Idaho College ... Redshirted the season. North Idaho College: Led NIC to the NJCAA Division I National Championship during the 2010-11 season ... Averaged 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game en route to the national title ... On Jan. 24, 2011, Griffitts was named the NJCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week after an impressive four-game performance during the week of Jan. 3-8 ... Griffitts averaged 22.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting an impressive 54.0 percent from the floor, 57.8 percent from behind the three-point arc and 70.0 percent from the free-throw line ... During the 2009-10 season, she averaged 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game ... She also made 72 three-pointers ... While playing for NIC, she was a 2009-10 first-team All-Scenic West Athletic Conference selection and an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American and a 2010-11 first-team All-SWAC selection, regional and national tournament MVP and a NJCAA second-team All-American.
