Head coach Niya Butts and the Arizona women's basketball team open the 2012-13 season on Monday, Nov. 5 to host Grand Canyon University at McKale Center. The exhibition contest will begin at 7 p.m. MST.
Shereen Sutherland, a 6-1 forward from Corona, Calif., enters her freshman season after lettering four years in both basketball and track at Santiago High School.
2012-13: Played in 11 games, averaging 7.5 minutes...Scored a career-high six points versus Oregon (1/13) and grabbed four rebounds versus Washington (2/1).
