TUCSON – University of Arizona women’s golf played rounds one and two of the Bruin/Wave Invitational on Monday. The three-round, two-day event, hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine, is being held at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif. (par 72, 6,131 yards).
The No. 8 Wildcats sit in third place after rounds of 305 and 294 for a total of 599 (+23). UA’s second-round score was among the best of the day. No. 20 UCLA leads the team race with a 583 (+7) and rounds of 297 and 286. No. 1 USC sits in second place with scores of 290 and 301 for a total of 591 (+15). No. 46 Lee Lopez of UCLA leads the individual race with rounds of 72 and 70 for a total of 142 (-2).

Her second-round score of 68 matches her collegiate best from the Stanford Intercollegiate in October. No. 47 sophomore Kendall Prince sits in a four-way tie for sixth place. She carded scores of 76 and 72 for a total of 148 (+4).
No. 41 sophomore Manon Gidali sits in a two-way tie for 19th place. She carded scores of 75 and 78 for a total of 153 (+9). Freshman Anna Kim collected rounds of 78 and 76 for a score of 154 (+10). She sits in a five-way tie for 21st place heading into the final round. Sophomore Andrea Vilarasau rounds out the Arizona scoring five in a seven-way tie for 29th place after rounds of 76 and 81 for a total of 157 (+13).
Vilarasau shares 29th place with UA sophomore Patricia Garcia who is competing as an individual. Making her Wildcat debut, Garcia shot rounds of 75 and 82 for a total of 157 (+13).
