TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team will open the season this weekend, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 21-23, at the Mason Rudolph Championship. Hosted by Vanderbilt University, the three-round tournament will be held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course (par 72, 6,454 yards) in Nashville, Tenn.

Eighteen holes will be played Friday through Sunday, with fixed tee times on holes one and 10 starting at 8 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday and 7:30 a.m. CT Sunday.

In the most recent rankings, Arizona is listed at No. 14 by the Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Preseason Poll (Aug. 29) and No. 5 by the Golfweek.com Preseason Poll (Sept. 8).

Along with Arizona, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State, Memphis, North Carolina, Oregon, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, Tulane, Chattanooga, Virginia and Wake Forest will compete in Nashville this weekend.

Sophomores Manon Gidali, Kendall Prince and Andrea Vilarasau and freshmen Janie Jackson and Anna Kim will compete for the Wildcats this weekend. Prince, Jackson and Kim will be making their Arizona debuts. Paired with Virginia and Georgia, the Wildcats will tee off between 8:45-9:21 a.m. CT.

Led by third-year head coach Laura Ianello and first-year assistant coach Derek Radley, the 2012-13 UA women's golf squad is comprised of two seniors, one junior and three sophomores with one sophomore transfer and two true freshmen joining the ranks this season. Ianello-led squads have earned top-three finishes at the Pac-12 Championships in the last three seasons, including a win in 2010 and a runner-up finish in 2011.
