Junior Mary Jacobs is top finisher for the Wildcats.
SAMMAMISH, Wash. The Arizona women’s golf team finished the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in sixth place, after totaling 924 (+60) through 54 holes.
Stanford took the team victory with a final total of 896 (+32), followed by New Mexico with a score of 902 (+38).
Arizona placed one individual in the top 20, with junior Mary Jacobs taking 19th after shooting a 229 (+13) in the tournament.
Sophomore Amanda Wilson tied for 25th after carding a six-over 78 in the final round, matching Jacobs’ final round score. The Hilo, Hawaii, native completed the tournament with a total score of 232 (+16).
Junior Alison Walshe shot a team-low 76 (+4) in the final round to tie for 28th place. Walshe totaled 233 (+17) through the three rounds of the tournament.
Sophomore Adriana Zwanck finished the tournament with a total of 236 (+20) to claim 35th place. The product out of Madrid, Spain, carded an eight-over 80 in the final round.
Senior Rachel Gavin tied for 51st after shooting a final round total of 78 (+6), giving the Tucson native a 242 (+26) after 54 holes of play.
The Wildcats will next be in action Oct. 20-22 at the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate, held in Palo Alto, Calif.
